３月２３日、千葉県船橋市からチューク州に消防車が寄贈され、消防署で式典が行われました。
当日は松戸船橋市長、消防署長をはじめ、仲介をしてくださったAMD（ミクロネシア振興協会）の皆さま、大使館からは私とモリ公使、末永一等書記官が参加しました。
松戸市長も私も、この消防車が海路長い道のりを経て、無事チューク州に到着して防災活動に貢献し、船橋市とミクロネシア連邦との「絆のシンボル」となることを願って握手を交わしました。
チューク州の州民を代表して松戸市長及びご尽力下さった皆さまに感謝申し上げます。
今後も学生の交流活動を通じて船橋市との関係をより深めていけたらと思います。

The Embassy celebrated the Federated State of Micronesia’s (FSM) 35 years as an independent country, as well as 33 years of diplomatic relations with Japan in a COVID-cautious and friendly celebration on November 3rd.
In our 35 years of Independence, the Federated States of Micronesia has faced many challenges, but has also endured so much. I and Embassy staff would like to extend warm appreciation and gratitude for all the support provided by our friends and partners over the years. We also look forward to continuing our special Kizuna, a close relationship that continues to thrive with the People and Government of Japan.
