今月の２９日ミクロネシア連邦大使館にて国際親善センター(IFC) のメンバーの方々とイベントを行います。
その為に デイレクターの渡部さんが大使館を訪問し、具体的な内容を説明されました。
本日IFCのイベントの準備のための最終会議を行いました。皆様のお越しをお待ちしております。
Mr. Masashi Watabe, Director of International Friendship Center visited the FSM Embassy to discuss in details about the Cultural Exchange event to take place at the Embassy on March 29, 2009. The entire family of the Embassy held their final meetings in preparation for this event. We warmly welcome IFC members and look forward to see you all on the 29th.
笹川平和財団の羽生会長との昼食会
今までは、アメリカによる支援が中心であった沿岸警備隊(coast guard) の活動でしたが、この度、日本とアメリカの共同事業となる為、日本とアメリカの沿岸警備隊の視察団が今月末にミクロネシアを訪問することになりました。
これからも、財団のご協力のもと、様々な分野で意見交換をしていきたいと思います。

Mr. Jiro Hanyu, Chairman of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation hosted a meeting with the Ambassadors from the Republic of Palau, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of the Marshall Islands, to discuss about the plan for a joint coast guard operation in the Micronesian region by Japan and USA. A Mission, comprised of Japan and USA coast guard officials and Sasakawa Peace Foundation, will be visiting the region at the end of this month to meet with the appropriate officials to discuss more in details.
We look forward to continue the friendly and cooperative relations with the Foundation.
