On July 6, the 56th Tokyo Judo Therapists Association Judo Tournament was held at the Kodokan, the headquarters of judo. The ‘Federated States of Micronesia Friendship Cup’ is a division for elementary school students. Representing the Embassy, Miss. Christina Toko Shigeta participated in the awards ceremony. Additionally, a special lecture was given by judo athlete Takanori Nagase, a member of the Japanese national team and two-time consecutive Olympic gold medalist.
７月６日、柔道の総本山である講道館で第５６回東京都柔道整復師会柔道大会が行われました。『ミクロネシア連邦友好杯』は小学生を対象とした部門です。大使館を代表して、職員のクリスティーナ・トウコ・シゲタが表彰式に参加しました。また、特別講師として、柔道日本代表でオリンピック２大会連続金メダルの永瀬貴規選手による講演がありました。
