駐日ミクロネシア連邦大使：ジョン・フリッツの日々前進！

ピーター・クリスチャン大統領一行が高知県を訪問しました。尾崎高知県知事を表敬訪問、協和海運株式会社様の新造船進水式に参加、牧野植物園や高知市立三里小学校を訪問するなど、ミクロネシア連邦の日系人のルーツである森 小弁の故郷を巡り、交流を深めました。

福岡空港ビルディング株式会社の森下様が来館し、新年の挨拶と共に 日本ーミクロネシア連邦国交樹立30周年記念に向けての意見交換をし ました。 Summary Ambassador received Mr. Morishita from Fukuoka Airport Building Company who visited the Embassy for the New Year’s Greetings, and exchanged information on activites and events  this year including the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between FSM and Japan.

社団法人母子保健普及協会会長福田さん主催の母子健康手帳の勉強会に 参加し、ミクロネシア連邦における母子健康手帳の取り組みについて 紹介させて頂きました。ミクロネシア連邦が長年にわたりメンバー国 として活動し、来年創立50周年を迎えるアジア婦人友好会での活動の 収益金 を寄付し2015年末に完成した母子健康手帳を使ったパイロット プログラムがチューク州で始まっています。    

国立青少年教育振興機構（NIYE）より小野様と小松様が来館し、平成２９ 年度のプログラムの報告と来年度のプログラムについての意見交換を行い ました。 Summary Officials from the National Institute for Youth Education (NIYE) Messers Ono and Komatsu visited the Embassy to disccuss about  the 2017 (Heisei29) exchange program as well as next year’s program.

JICAの太平洋島嶼国リーダー教育支援プログラム（Pacific-LEADS）の プロジェクトとしてミクロネシア連邦ポンペイ州より日本に留学中の Alyssa Nakasone さんが大使館でのインターンシップの為、 Asia SEED（アジア科学教育経済発展機構）の方と来館されました。 ２週間という限られた時間ではありますが、大使館でのインターン期間 を今後の更なる成長の為にも活かしてもらいたいです。 Summary Miss Alyssa Nakasone from Pohnpei went through a two-week internship program at the Embassy as part of her study program to  familiar herself with the Embassy’s work. Nakasone is an FSM student currently undergo her master studies at Waseda University under the JICA sponsored Pacific LEADS scholarship program. Thanks to the Asia SEED for its assistance in coordinating the internship with the Embassy.
