逗子開成学園の入学式にて祝辞

４月７日、神奈川県の逗子開成学園の入学式にご招待を受け、新入生の皆さんに祝辞を述べさせていただきました。学園と大使館との交流は、昨年よりＰＴＡ会長さんを通じて野球部の皆さんが野球用具などをミクロネシアの子供たちに寄贈していただいたことに始まり、理事長、校長先生、また生徒の方たちともつながりを深めています。その後、ミクロネシア連邦ポンペイ州のコロニアタウンにおいて、「コロニアタウン逗子開成　リトルリーグ・ベースボール・トーナメント」が開催されました。生徒の皆さんとともに、これからも更に交流を深めていきたいと思います。

I want to thank  Zushi Kaisei Gakuen for inviting me as guest to its entrance ceremony for the new enrollment   held on April 7, 2011 in Zushi Kanagawa Prefecture. The friendly relation between the Embassy and Kaisei Gakuen was intiated through the PTA Chairman for the school year 2010-2011, who has been instrumental in promoting goodwill through sports. The school donated baseball equipments to Pohnpei State Kolonia Town  Little League, and I want to express appreciation to the PTA Chairman, School Board Chairman, Principal, and students for your donation. I am happy to mention that the donations contributed to the inception of the   so-called Kolonia Town-Zushi Kaisei baseball tournament. Look forward to strengthen the friendly ties.

災害に関するミクロネシア連邦議会の決議案

３月１１日の大地震とそれに伴う大津波などの被害にあった日本に対して、ミクロネシア連邦第１６議会は第六特別会議において以下の決議案を採択しました。

平成23年3月11日にマグニチュード9.0の地震が日本の東北、宮城県仙台市沖に発生した事、及び

地震によって起こされた津波は30㌳を超え東北の海岸線から6マイル内陸に及んだ事、及び

地震と津波により日本は7,000人を超える尊い命を失い、他何千もの人が被害にあった事、及び

地震と津波が被災地域の水や電力等の重要な供給設備に甚大な被害をもたらした事、及び

ミクロネシア連邦第16議会は日本の政府と国民が多大な努力のもと事態の沈静化に勤めている事を理解し、今後の収拾と復興活動の成功を願っている；従って、

平成23年、ミクロネシア連邦第16議会の第六特別会議において、同年3月11日の地震と津波の被害を受けた日本の方々に対し、深い悲しみと哀悼の意を述べる決議案を採択すると共に、

本決議案はミクロネシア連邦大統領、及び、日本大使館に提出される事が可決された。
