駐日ミクロネシア連邦大使：ジョン・フリッツの日々前進！

先月、本国から４８名が来日した『ミクロネシア諸島自然体験交流』の実施報告のため、国立青少年教育振興機構の高藤課長と松隈さん、そして交流を受け入れてくださいました渋谷区立松涛中学校の鈴木校長先生がいらっしゃいました。大変お世話になり、ありがとうございました。次は、７月２３日から日本の小・中学生１６名がチューク州へ派遣されます。

Summary:

Mr. Takatou and Ms. Matsukuma of the National Institute for Youth Education visited the Embassy to provide the outcome report on the In-bound Children’s Exchange Program with Micronesia Islands held last month with 48 students from the Federated States of Micronesia participated. Also with them is Mr. Suzuki, Principal of Shibuya Shoto Junior  High School, a school that has been an active partner in receiving and implementing goodwill exchanges with the children from the Micronesia Islands.  Thank you for all your support.  16  primary and junior high school students  are currently in the Federated States of Micronesia (Chuuk State) on the same program.

地域企業連合会 九州連携機構の小早川代表と、太平洋協会の小林泉先生、芳賀事務局長がいらっしゃいました。ミクロネシア連邦は現在、北海道と近畿地方に名誉領事館があるため、その地域との交流は盛んですが、今後、小早川様を通して福岡など九州地方との繋がりが発展していくことを望んでおります。どうぞ宜しくお願い致します。

Summary

Mr. Akinori Kobayakawa, president of Kyushu Associations of Independent Entrepreneurs, visited the Embassy with Dr. Kobayashi and Mr. Haga from the Pacific Islands Association. Currently FSM has two honorary consulates in Hokkaido and Kinki regions, which are helping in the promotion of FSM and Japan relations including goodwill  exchanges. We look forward to work with Kobayakawa-san in promoting the links between FSM and Fukuoka Prefecture and the Kyushu region.

第４４回東京都柔道接骨師会柔道大会が東京・文京区の講道館で行われました。この大会は、小学生の部から有段者のトーナメントまでいくつかの大会を兼ねています。このうち、小学生を対象とした『ミクロネシア連邦友好杯』を観戦し、優勝カップを授与させていただきました。優勝したのは『春日柔道クラブ（文京）』。見事、３連覇達成です！おめでとうございます。

Summary

The 44th Tokyo Metropolitan Judo and Bone Therapy Federation’s judo championship was held again this year at the Kodoukan facility. Teams comprised of different ages including primary students, junior high school students, university and adults competed in the championship. Teams at the primary age level were competing for the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM)  Championship Cup, which was won by Kasuga Judo Club. Congratulations for winning the FSM championship cup for three consecutive years.

８月からポンペイ州にあるCollege of Micronesia（COM）に短期留学する、前野安代さんがお母様と出発のご挨拶にいらっしゃいました。前野さんは、フリーペーパー『SNUFKIN（スナフキン）』の編集スタッフの一員として約２年前にミクロネシア連邦へ取材に行きました。そして、すっかりミクロネシア連邦に魅了されてしまい、このたびの留学を決意されたということです。前野さんの今後のご活躍を期待しています！

Summary

Thanks to Miss Yasuyo Maeno and her mother for visiting the Embassy. A good friend of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Maeno-san will be leaving for the Federated States of Micronesia in August to attend the College of Micronesia (COM)  for one semester. Her interest in FSM  started after visiting FSM as a member of the SNUFKIN team, who did a documentary write up on FSM two years ago. Wish for all the success.
