駐日ミクロネシア連邦大使：ジョン・フリッツの日々前進！

神奈川県の藤沢市議会議員の皆様とお会いし、ミクロネシア連邦友好議員連盟の発足について意見交換をしました。現在、中央政府での議員連盟はありますが、市区町村ではこれからです。第一号の発足が実現することを心待ちにしています。

Summary

Ambassador held a friendly meeting with members of Fujisawa City Assembly, who have keen interest in establishing a friendship league at the City Assembly level. It was an informal gathering to exchange opinions on how to move forward with the concept. There is an existing friendship league at the national level, but once established, it will be the first type of friendship league at the municipal level.

海外漁業協力財団（ＯＦＣＦ）のミクロネシア連邦出張所で５年間、所長としてご活躍された左近充さんと、株式会社国際水産技術開発の藤原さん、ＯＦＣＦの有里さんがご来館されました。今後とも何卒、宜しくお願い致します。

Summary:

Former  Overseas Fishery Cooperation Foundation’s (OFCF) Director in FSM Mr.  Sakonju visited the Embassy after completing his services for about 5 years. He was accompanied by Messrs Fujiwara and Arisato. Thank you for your  kind support toward strengthening  the friendly relations between FSM and Japan.

山形市立第五中学校３年生の皆さんが、修学旅行の班別研修で大使館を訪問されました。はじめは少し緊張していましたが、国の紹介スライドを見たり、質問をしているうちに笑顔になっていきました。名産品の胡椒や民芸品を実際に手にとってみたり、民族衣装を身にまとうと歓声が上がりました。あっという間の１時間でしたが、ミクロネシア連邦を身近に感じていただけましたでしょうか？将来、ぜひ行ってみてくださいね。

Summary

Six students from Yamagata No#5 Junior High School visited the Embassy as part of their school’s excursion study program. Embassy prepared a program for them including the slide presentation and questions and answer session on FSM, and   experiencing  the islands attire and the  taste of  islands sweets prepared by the Embassy staff. I hope they all enjoyed their visit, and look forward to strengthen the friendship  and of course  to see  them in FSM in the near future.

Embassy continues to actively involve in interacting with young people to strengthen the Kizuna between FSM and Japan.

東京都立両国高等学校附属中学校２年生の皆さんが、国際理解学習として大使館を訪問されました。ミクロネシア連邦の人々の暮らしや同年代の子どもたちの生活について、活発に質問をしてくれました。皆さん、英語での自己紹介をしたり、観光局のホームページから情報を得て事前学習をするなど、とても意欲的で驚きました。ぜひミクロネシア連邦に行ってくださいね。

Summary:

Students from Tokyo Toritsu　Ryogoku Junior High School visited the Embassy to learn about the Federated States of Micronesia (Micronesia) as part of their program of international understanding. It was a lively session during which   questions were asked about the   lives in Micronesia in general, specifically the  young people with the same age. Very　much  impressed with the way they presented themselves, the knowledge they had on Micronesia and the  introductions of individuals in English. Part of the programs prepared by the Embassy beside the questions and answer sessions were also  to experience the island’s daily attire (fit and great looking!) and taste of Micronesian sweets. We welcome all of you to visit Micronesia.

福島県いわき市商工観光部の皆様（新妻部長・鈴木次長・千葉課長・猪狩主査）と、いわき市東京事務所の村上所長が、昨年の『第１回太平洋諸国舞踊祭』の御礼と、新任のご挨拶にいらっしゃいました。いわき市とミクロネシア連邦の交流について、さまざまな意見交換をしました。今後とも宜しくお願い致します。

Summary

Ambassador welcomed officials from the Department of Commerce Industry and Tourism of Iwaki City Government ( Director General, Hidemasa Niitsuma; Deputy Director General, Yoshiaki Suzuki; Division Manager, Shinichiro Chiba, Senior Administrative Officer, Shu Igari, Director of Iwaki City Tokyo Office, Hiroshi Maurakami)  to the Embassy who visited to thank FSM for   taking part in the  first Pacific Island Countries Dance Festival and to introduce themselves as new officers in charge of the department. Ambassador took the opportunity to thank  them and assured them that the Embassy will continue to work with them in strengthening the friendly and cooperative ties between the people of Iwaki City and FSM.
